Isn't It Time We Treat the Cause?

The old slogan, "You are what you eat" isn't true. In actuality, "You are what you digest". To eat is heavenly, to digest is divine!!! Millions of Americans suffer from chronic gastrointestinal disturbances. A combination of causes contributes to many of my patients' excessive gas. Gas is nature's way of saying that you didn't digest that meal. The food ferments, and hydrogen and carbon dioxide gases are formed from fermentation. Many times the food we eat becomes toxic and an acid/alkaline imbalance is created.

Rolaids, antacids, and laxatives are among the best selling drugs in this country for the treatment of the symptoms of excessive gas. We are constantly bombarded by television ads showing people eating greasy, over-processed and nutritionally empty foods. Pharmaceutical companies push their multi-million dollar a year products "down our throats" to treat these symptoms. The message these companies want you to hear is that you can continue to eat horrifically, and then you can live on antacids for the rest of your life. Not a word is ever mentioned to remove these foods — foods which are greasy, hard to digest and /or allergy forming — from our diet.

Did you know that today, in America, colon cancer is the number one form of cancer, followed by cancer of the stomach? Yet, millions of Americans continue to treat the symptoms instead of the cause.
