ERNEST INTRODUCES THE GREENS+® PET CONTEST

Ernest is Roberta Schwartz's six-year-old Shih-Tzu. You may remember roberta from a previous newsletter in which she shared that she had written to Michael J. Fox telling him how GREENS+® was helping her control her Parkinson's disease.

Roberta started Ernest on GREENS+® when he was just a puppy by wetting her finger with GREENS+® and letting him lick it off. "A little dab'll do ya."

Recently the other dogs in their neighborhood came down with a virus causing severe diarrhea. Ernest was the only dog that remained healthy.

Ernest's groomer marvels at the sparkle in his eyes and the glossy sheen of his coat. Ernest likes his GREENS+® sprinkled on his good, as well as with water in his bowl. We invite you to start your pet on GREENS+® now and share their photos and stories with us in our Pet Contest.

Nothing is more important to your pet's overall health and longevity that a high-quality, balanced diet. What you feed your pet is an important part of keeping him healthy. Your veterinarian may recommend a good nutritional supplement, such as GREENS+® to assure your pet is getting all the nutrients he needs for the lifestyle that he leads.

Annual veterinary physical exams are important to your pet's health. A year between physical exams for your dog or cat is like four to seven years between annual exams for us.

Did you know that your pet can suffer severe illness as a result of poor dental health? Bad teeth often cause pain, premature aging, and damage to the liver, kidneys and heart. If your pet has bad breath, discolored teeth, reddened gums, or difficulty when eating, you should schedule a dental check-up with your veterinarian.

In today's living conditions, it is virtually impossible to isolate your pet from exposure to deadly diseases. The only way to effectively protect your pet is to vaccinate him routinely. Ask your vet if your pet is current on his vaccines.

Heart worm disease is one of the most common diseases in dogs, cats and ferrets; yet it is the easiest heart disease to prevent! The deadly parasite is transmitted by mosquitoes and can grow to the size of spaghetti in an animals heart, causing congestive heart failure. there are several safe and easy-to -administer heart worm preventatives available through your veterinarian.

We recommend spaying/neutering all pets not intended for breeding. Not only will you be improving your pet's health and behavior, you will also be helping control animal overpopulation.

Remember the old adage, "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure?" That statement holds true for your pet as well. Keep items that could harm your pet out of their reach so they won't accidentally hurt themselves. Regular check-ups, keeping current with vaccines and medications, a well-balanced diet, and needed exercise will keep your pet bright-eyed and bushy-tailed for a long time!
