New FDA Ruling Allows Labels to State That Soy Protein is Good for the Heart

The FDA recently accepted and approved the long-held claim that 25 grams of soy protein a day, as a part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol may reduce the risk of heart disease. The FDA also allows the fact that soy is beneficial for treating certain conditions associated with natural stages or normal physiological processes of life, such as aging, pregnancy, menopause and adolescence. We would like to be allowed to inform consumers that soy protein also protects against breast cancer, lowers cholesterol, reduces risk of osteoporosis, inhibits growth of cancer cells, and improves kidney functions. We cannot yet put that on our labels, but we can let you know that soy reduces menopausal symptoms and stimulates antioxidant ability. The new regulations afford manufacturers more of an opportunity to inform consumers of some of the natural products that are available to maintain health in this era of declining patient care and rising medical costs.

One daily 16 oz. drink of PROTEIN GREENS+™ provides 20 grams of isoflavone-rich, non-GMO soy isolate and a full serving (8,900 mg) of the 29 nutrient-rich superfoods found in the award-winning GREENS+®. When mixed with quality water, the natural flavor tastes like the tender tips of sweet hay, while the orange greensicle is like citrus-flavored cream.

Dave added WHEY PROTEIN GREENS+™ (natural flavor) to his health program as soon as it became available. Dave uses it as an addition to his regular GREENS+® drink. He says, "I will never stop taking my GREENS+®."

Lani also balances her daily diet with a morning 8 oz. drink of GREENS+® and an afternoon pick-up of 16 oz. SOY PROTEIN GREENS+™ (orange greensicle flavor)
