FATHER & SON TAKE 1ST PLACE PET CONTEST

The GREENS+® Pet Contest brought in entries from across the United States and even one from England. Six-year-old black labrador Retriever, Grease Lightning was selected as 1st Place along with his son, Bolt of Lightning. Owner Salvatore Massimo, Jr. trained Grease to be a professional hunting guide dog and to compete in AKC and NAHRA competitions. Grease is a seven-time winner. Looking for the proper diet for his "Lightning Labradors", Salvatore did extensive research and came up with a diet consisting of a variety of green organic vegetables, carrots, raw meat and clean dry food for a caloric source (he recommends Martins K-9 Formula). The green organic vegetables were a time-consuming to process, so Salvatore switched toGREENS+®; he uses 1 cup dry food, adds 8 oz. water with GREENS+® and a variety of raw meats in 1-2 lb. serving size. Twice weekly he adds carrots for a beta carotene source. After 3 days on this new diet, both dogs coats were richer, darker and had a shiny luster. Two weeks later, their eyes were extremely vibrant and the brown color of their iris seemed to have deepened and both dogs gained muscle mass.
